Final Day at Unity

Today is my final day as an employee of Unity Health System of Rochester, NY. In honor of this occasion I have decided to break my own personal rule and post this entry from my desk at work using the corporate network. What are they going to do? Fire me?

A Busy Week Ahead

To celebrate my departure from Unity I will have the privilege of driving from Rochester to New York (actually to Long Island) immediately after I leave today. The trip should take about 7 1/2 hours. I hope to be able to get on the road by 14:30 - 15:00 and be on the island by 22:00 - 23:00. Of course, most of this will depend on GW bridge traffic...oh how I loathe that bridge!

I will be on Long Island with Nicole until Sunday, and then we will be driving back to Rochester. Then it's off to Los Angeles for a week while I train with my new employer: Transplant Connect. I have a feeling that I won't be getting much rest during the immediate future.

Park Ave Fest

I'll be returning from Los Angeles on Saturday, August 6, just in time for Rochester's annual Park Avenue fest. What about your much-needed rest and relaxation after such a busy week of travel, you may ask? Nah! I'll be celebrating my return by hanging out at my friend Matt's party on Sunday.

You can rest when you're dead.

But I don't mind. Despite my rambling on and on about it, I'm not really complaining. I'm looking forward to the new and exciting things ahead and to the little vacation (even though it will be mostly work).
