In an unexpected development, Nicole's brother managed to score some free tickets to the Braves @ Mets day game so in addition to my planned first Yankee home game, I also got to see my first Mets home game. That brings the total number of major league ballparks that I have seen games at to three (Dodgers, Yankees, Shea) as of this posting. I just have to say that unlike my disappointment in the demolition of Yankee Stadium, the loss of Shea Stadium won't be too big a loss. This stadium is UGLY! To top off the day, the Mets lost to the Braves by a score of 7 - 6! Since I'm a Dodger fan I was quire pleased and quickly made friends with the surrounding Braves fans (few in number though they were).
