Cross an Army officer trainee, a DWP electrical mechanic, a high school math teacher, one of the tallest mountains in the San Bernardinos, and Connie, with an insufficient water supply, one case of mountain sickness, nearly a mile in altitude gain, 60 pounds of Amateur Radio equipment, and a lack of daylight and what do you get? A bunch of out-of-shape schmucks huffing and puffing their way to the top of an 8,860 foot peak.
