Well, my trip to NC is finally on track. I just purchased the airline tickets, booked the hotel, and reserved a car. It all seems like a waste of money though. The trip is important and all, but it just doesn't seem like the amount of time I'll spend back east justifies the cost. The total cost for the April 19 - 23 (including travel time) trip comes to nearly $1,000! It better be productive!

I'll most likely be completely out of touch while I'm gone, though the trip is so short that most of you probably won't even notice. ;) So much for NYC. Maybe in the summer.

BTW, if any of you know of things to do/see near Raleigh/Chapel Hill/Hillsborough, please e-mail me!

Southwest Airlines to the rescue! Just when I thought my NC visit was impossible, Soutwhest decided to bring back their "Friends Fly Free" program! To top it off, their roundtrip fare from LAX to RDU is nearly $200 less than all the other airlines I priced. Now I just have to wait to hear back from my professors (since I'll have to miss some class) before I can book the tickets.

It's amazing how things always end up turning to crap. No matter how hard you try, no matter how well things seem to be going, they ultimately end up falling apart.

I had it all planned out. I was going to visit UNC during the second/third week of April. Go from NC to NYC and spend a couple of days there. Everything was going well, and then BOOM! Everything fell apart in a matter of moments. To top things off, the airline decided to DOUBLE the cost of the tickets overnight. Now, despite all the schedule juggling that I had been doing, the trip will be prohibitively expensive. Of course, the fact that my friends owe me almost $1,700 and refuse to pay me doesn't make matters any easier. God, I just feel like crying.

Oh, did I mention I'm sick?

By some great miracle the 10 freeway was virtually empty this morning and despite my leaving nearly 20 minutes late I was on time for class! The last time I saw traffic like that was during the Christmas holiday season when everyone was out of town.

After all these years I've finally decided to make myself a personal homepage. As you can tell, the site is nowhere near completion but I hope to have most of it up and running within the next week or so. Of course, the rapidity of this development will be largely dependent upon school and work. I'll keep y'all posted.
