Wee! Today's my birthday. That's right, I'm no longer a teenager...hooray 20! So, how did I celebrate the occassion? I celebrated by watching my big sis graduate from Pepperdine with her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology. It was a really awesome experience and I'm glad that I was able to be there to witness it. :) I'm so proud of her for overcoming such incredible obstacles in her life and making it so far. I have always looked up to and admired her and am so proud of her. Yay Rachel! :) Aside from the graduation festivities, today's been pretty quiet. I got sunburned despite the fact that it was cloudy. I guess that's a lesson for me; just because it doesn't seem sunny doesn't mean that I shouldn't wear sunscreen.

Well, that's pretty much it I guess. Only a few more days until I get to see my Nicole again. Wee! :) I'm so excited! Well, I'm beat...I think it's time for a nap. Catch you all later!

Well, I'm off to my ride-along with Schaefer Ambulance to get my first experience at what it's like to be an EMT. Hopefully I don't screw up too badly. At least if I make a total ass out of myself I'll be 3,000 miles away when I actually begin working as a professional EMT (as opposed to being a student). Today will be a 10-hour shift (I believe) so I'll be back later tonight with more details on how the day went.

Time warp! I managed to figure out a way to see my Nicole in less than 43 days! That's right folks, yours truly will be flying to Rochester on the 23rd...that's only 15 days (if you don't count the last few remaining hours of today) away! I'm so excited! Weeeee! :) :) :) Then, after I get back it's only a few more weeks until I make the big move back east. mmm roadtripping. I'll definitely have some new photos up once I make that trip...no better way to use film than by driving cross-country eh?

Alright, time to finish up some work and hit the sack. Hooray for working from home tomorrow! G'night!

Well, it seems that somehow all my web files definitely got deleted after installing some Microsoft hotfix. Of course, being the dumbass that I am my latest backup is nearly a month or so old. Thing that pisses me off the most is the loss of all my recent guestbook entries. I guess this is a lesson to make regular backups and not do them whimsically...time to automate the process.

Sometimes I really hate Microsoft.

Happy Cinco de Mayo everybody! mmm...burrtios.

I can't believe it's already May. It seems like just last week I was anxiously awaiting January, now I'm just over a month away from the big move back east. I can't wait! But, in the meantime, I still have to get through May. May also means that you should click the "My Wishlist" link to the left so that you can buy me some really cool stuff for my birthday (so long teenage years)! mmm...shameless. Nicole says "hi" to all of you and even though she didn't say it I'm sure she's also thinking that you should either give me money or buy me cool stuff. ;) Wee!

In other news, in only four more weeks I should be a certified EMT-D! I got a phone call from Monroe Ambulance Company in NY last week and it seems that they're very interested in hiring me as soon as I can process my NY reciprocity. I can't wait to start my new career and stop staring at computer screens all day long! Next weekend I'm probably going to go on a ridealong with Schaffer Ambulance in order to complete my clinical internship hours...finally going to get to put some of my new skills to use. Pretty scary, eh?
